The National EntreComp networking event of VET centers for adults was organized by Junior Achievement Montenegro in collaboration with the Bureau for Education Services of Montenegro and the Western Balkans Institute (WEBIN) as part of the VETpreneur project.
This event brought together representatives from VET centers and adult education institutions across Montenegro to share experiences, network, and discuss how to improve entrepreneurial competencies through the EntreComp framework.
The event focused on connecting key stakeholders in the field of adult education, retraining, and entrepreneurship, with the goal of fostering collaboration and addressing common challenges in the sector.
During the conference, representatives from VET centers, secondary schools, and NGOs engaged in discussions about the current state of adult education in Montenegro, focusing on:
- Challenges faced by VET centers in implementing entrepreneurship education;
- Opportunities for integrating entrepreneurial competencies into adult education and retraining programs;
- Practical examples of how the EntreComp framework has been successfully implemented in educational settings.
A key component of the event was the working group sessions, where participants were divided into smaller groups to discuss potential initiatives for improving the integration of entrepreneurial education in their institutions. These sessions encouraged open dialogue, allowing participants to share insights from their own experiences and propose recommendations for future collaboration.
The discussions emphasized the need for:
- Strengthening institutional support: It is essential to enhance collaboration between educational institutions, government bodies, and NGOs to support the sustainable integration of entrepreneurial education.
- Continued professional development: There is a clear demand for ongoing training and professional development opportunities for educators, focusing on practical ways to embed entrepreneurial competencies in their teaching.
- Incorporating EntreComp into national strategies: The integration of the EntreComp framework into national policies on adult education and VET was recognized as crucial for fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and enhancing employability.
